   The McCloud Local First Network, a non-profit membership organization, is dedicated to strengthening McCloud and the local economy by promoting, preserving, and protecting local, independently owned businesses. 

Our Members

We promote local businesses through

· “Think Local First” public education

· Listing on our web site and in our printed local business directory

· Other community outreach opportunities

· Attracting new customers

· Group purchasing

· Access to resources and training

 We invite you to join us and contribute your ideas and energy to our efforts.

 Membership categories are:

1.        Local Business (Voting member)

2.        McCloud Basin Resident (Voting member)

3.        Associate Member

                                - Individuals

                                - Non-Profit organizations 

A business is considered local if:

A.       The business is privately held (stocks are not publicly traded)

B.       The business owners, totaling greater than 50% of the business ownership, live in or near Siskiyou County.

C.       Incorporated, if it is registered in California and corporate or national headquarters are located in Siskiyou County.

D.       The business can make independent decisions regarding the name and look of the business, as well as all business purchasing, practices and distribution.

E.       The business pays all of its marketing, rent and other business expenses (without assistance from a corporate headquarters).

 Non-    Non-profit organizations are welcomed as Associate members if the mission and goals of the organization support those of the McCloud Local-First Network.

McCloud Basin residents are welcomed as Resident Voting members if they support the mission and goals of the McCloud Local-First Network. 

Non-local individuals are welcomed as Associate members if they support the mission and goals of the McCloud Local-First Network.
