No-Cost Business Consultant Coming to McCloud

The McCloud Local-First Network is pleased to announce no-cost business consulting services for McCloud business owners provided by the Northeastern California Small Business Development Center (SBDC) hosted by Shasta College and College of the Siskiyous.
The SBDC’s mission is to help existing businesses be competitive in a complex marketplace and to assist new entrepreneurs realize their dreams of business ownership.
Stephanie Hoffman, of the SBDC, is the primary business consultant for Siskiyou County and has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs helping them with the steps needed to grow a successful business. Stephanie has also been an adjunct instructor for both College of the Siskiyous and Shasta College where she taught business effectiveness classes.
Stephanie’s specialty is identifying target markets and helping her clients create low-cost strategic marketing plans. She also reviews websites and other marketing materials for maximizing results. Other services include: business plan assistance, information on obtaining permits and licenses, loan information and options, and realistic pricing.
“We’re really excited that Stephanie will be in McCloud, not only will she be available to work more conveniently with our businesses, she’ll also get to know the town and be more helpful to our overall economic growth,” said April Gray, chair of the McCloud Local First Network Steering Committee.
Initially, Stephanie will hold office hours in McCloud once a month, and will be scheduling consulting sessions with current or potential business owners. “I look forward to working in McCloud and with the many small business owners. The SBDC is committed to our client’s success and to economic development through our consulting services and workshops. We want our clients to thrive,” said Stephanie.
