The McCloud Trail Association is a group of south Siskiyou County residents and other outdoor recreation enthusiasts who are interested in developing pedestrian and bicycle trails in and around the McCloud basin. We believe that a trail system that invites residents and visitors to our forests and rivers will promote the well-being of area residents through the encouragement of outdoor recreational activities, including hiking, running, walking, bicycling and cross-country skiing. We expect that visitors will engage in related activities that will promote local economic health.
We value responsible stewardship of our significant natural areas. We are promoters of the economic, historical, cultural and recreational benefits of conservation. We respect the rights and diverse needs of landowners.
The McCloud Trail Association envisions a system of trails throughout the McCloud Basin, connecting downtown with local attractions, other trails and towns, and the rail-trail that we’re working to develop.
